Wednesday afternoon we went to go to stay at the Whiting house in Park City with the Ledford's traveling with us. It started off great and quickly turned for the worse after Cedar City. We even slid off to the side of the road once and since Joe couldn't push us back on to the road, the Ledford's turned around, driving on the opposite side of the road to get to us. Thanks for risking your lives Ledford's!!! The men pushed the car back onto the road after Joe fell hitting his chin on the bumper and scraping his elbow and knee, but we kept going and ended up between Bever and Filmore . We couldn't go any further and we knew we had to stop for the night at the next exit. Lo and behold "The Historic Cove Fort" turn off. We pull up to the gas station where everyone and their mother is staying at and we ditch our car and stuffed into Jen and Fred's SUV. We drove to Cove Fort and found a house with a light still on. Knock, Knock. We were so very lucky! It was the house of the couple missionaries that are serving there at Cove Fort. They ended up having an extra missionary, one bedroom apartment that they kindly let us sleep in (with a lovely nightgown that Joe so beautifuly wore). After a restless, humbling, and crazy night, we woke to a breakfast made by the mission directors wife. Exchanged hugs and "thank you's" and we were off. We got to Park City on Thursday afternoon. The Mcfarland's and Larkin's met up with us that night, we ate spaghetti dinner, watched movies in their awesome movie theater room...Happy Valentine's. I love you Joe. Next day we got a little sledding action, ate snow (Anna said it was OK because it's organic snow) and did some Park City window shopping since everything there is way too expensive for anyone I know. Saturday was a sad day for the Rebels with a horrible loss against BYU. But we had fun and they have the best stadium food ever! The kids loved to watch the cougar and his tricks. When we got to the Whiting's we had cake and ice cream for Fred's birthday. After a long and not so suspensful trip home on Sunday we are happy to be home and alive!

What a story! I am glad to hear everyone's alright! I've never driven on ice and I think about it every time we head North in the winter - seems like it's bound to happen since we go so often, I am just not looking forward to it!
How's the dog fair with you guys gone for so long? I sure hope you guys are enjoying him and his sweet disposition. I know he is GIANT responsibility but he's too sweet to be a burden!
What an adventure. Good thing you were in Utah and found some nice people to help you out. I can't believe the snow! I forget how cold it is in other places since it's so nice here. Glad you made it back okay.
Jenny, I love this story!! This will be a trip you won't soon forget. :)
By the way, don't worry about the game thing...we just liked seeing you guys. :) Seeing you both only made me miss Vegas more...
