So as many of you can guess, I am so excited for Mitt, as are many of you! The process of the caucus was a little unorganized from what I heard, but our precinct went just fine, though it seems to be a flawed system. Whatever... Mitt won! After the voting, a few friends (Ledford's and McFarland's), Joe and I went to Mimi's after to celebrate the victory. Thanks so much Brody for the great shirts. We got so many compiliments and glares... I loved it.
For any of you who didn't recieve Joe's e-mail on Mitt Romney, here it is:
I wanted to take a minute and explain a choice I have made and the reasons for doing so. I have never been a big "politics" guy. I have take a passive and to some degree antagonistic stance on politics in general. As my family has grown, the economy has weakened and our country has gone to war, I have been forced to take a look at what it means to be an American today. I consider myself a logical person and have at times thought anyone who does not agree with me to be the opposite. Time and experience has changed that. As an American I not only have the right, but the opportunity to decide what direction I believe the country to go. I want to share with you the choice I have made. I hope I don't offend anyone. This is just my opinion and I encourage everyone to take a look at the candidates and decide for themselves.
I support Mitt Romney 110%. Here is why.
Family: I used to think it did not matter what the definition of marriage was. I knew I had a great wife and did not care if others wanted to marry someone of the same sex. I have come to the conclusion that it does matter. I believe in God. I believe he has established this Country and has given people agency to make choices for themselves. If someone wants to practice homosexuality, promiscuity or adultry they have that choice. I do believe that God does care and wants those who understand and accept his laws to stand up for what he says. Marriage as established by God in the Garden of Eden and throughout time has been between Man and Woman. Mitt Romney is committed to protecting the traditional definition of Marriage. In fact not just on Marriage, he is concerned about parents role in education and all other areas that make a strong family.

Economy: As most of you know I sell real estate. We are working 10 hr days and fighting every day to stay ahead. The economy is struggling. Mitt Romney is widely considered one of the BEST BUSINESSMEN IN AMERICA. He understands the economy. We need someone who has the experience and leadership to turn our economy around. He will make the Bush tax cuts permanent. He understands that the only way to grow the economy and create jobs is if business owners are able to have the funds necessary to run their business. As a business owner I can tell you it matters that I am able to take the money I would have paid the government and pt it back into my business.
National Security: We are at war. No matter what anyone says or how passionately they speak, the President needs to be a leader not a solider. Mitt has proved over and over again in business, government and the 2002 winter Olympics that he is a leader. He is a great judge and motivator of people. He will gather the best military leaders and soldiers we need to fight the war on terror. He may not be a solider, but he is a leader. Our border will be protected, people who are in our country illegally will be deported and will get in line with everyone else.
There are other candidates who have aspects of these three principals.
Huckabee is Great on family but horrible on economy and national security.
McCain is Great on War but horrible on immigration and taxes
ECT.... But Mitt is the real deal and has the whole package.
Mitt Romney is a man of Faith. He is a Mormon and for the record so am I. Contrary to what Huckabee or others would have you believe it is not a negative, Mitt's faith will help him govern this country according to the Constitution.

I'm so glad that you found me too... Being a REBEL fan is so much FUN, and it brings my family so much JOY. I love seeing Landon get so excited at the games. Hope we do good tomorrow night.

I love your shirts!!! Good for you both for taking such an active role in our political process! We are campaigning just as hard for Romney here (not that he needs much help in Utah...but Trev goes and does phone calls atleast once a week to garner support in the primary states). We love him and echo Joe's sentiments. He would be a wonderful president and I just hope the rest of the country figures that out before it's too late. GO MITT!~!!!
