Today, Porter's preschool class went to Anderson Dairy for a field trip. I got to take two of Porter's best little friends, Nicola and Mia and of course sister had to come along too. I have to admit, I was impressed with the place. The talking barn was so cute were the kids got to sit and the cow, rooster, chicken's and owl all talked to the kids about who knows what, since I was trying to keep Evelyn in a stationary spot. We were able to see the factory workers making Butter Pecan ice cream and there was even a spot in one of the hallways where they tried make it seem cold by releasing fake smoke or "Artic ice vapor". Every kid freaked out and thought the place was on fire. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw Porter pushing people to find me. Poor little thing! After all was said and done we got to eat ice cream. Even Evelyn got down on some.

I don't know why but the ice cream tastes so much better there than from the store. Maybe it's just me.
How fun! What a good mommy to volunteer. I still remember when my mom went on a class field trip with me way back in 1st grade. I'm sure Porter will remember the day the dairy almost burned down. :)

Those pictures are adorable. I have always wanted to go there. I have an old friends whos dad owns anderson dairy and she used the cow costume they have there and would be a cow for halloween. So great.
